Blossom and Sonny
Little Blossom was a hypoglycemic Chihuahua puppy, and was very ill when she was brought to Best Friends. She stayed at the hospital until she pulled through. She now is a healthy and loving adult and loves to play with her big brother, Sonny.

Annie Annie is a Chihuahua/Whippet mix who was found in a cardboard box with a piece of lettuce and a corncob. She was nearly starved to death, and weighed in at 2 lbs instead of 12, the expected weight for her size. She was adopted and now in a happy and loving home.

FlameFlameFlame is a famous stunt wolf featured in a number of Hollywood movies, including "Dr. Doolittle 2" and "Night of the Wolf". One day she collapsed at her training facility and was brought to Dr. Habib at Best Friends. They found her abdomen was filled with fluid and performed an emergency splenectomy. She fully recovered.

KittensThese baby Abyssinians were so ill when they were brought to Best Friends, one was in the condition known as "Failure to Thrive", a state where staying alive is no longer of interest. They were slowly nursed back to health and adopted to loving homes.

MotherPupsThis mother- to-be was in labor but unable to birth her pups on her own.She was brought to Best Friends for assistance, and with their health had four healthy puppies!

FredFred was found abandoned under a trailer. His mange was so rampant that he had lost most of his hair on his head. He stayed at best friends for weeks until he was healthier and his hair had grown back. He has been adopted by a loving family.

FozzieFozzie Bear was brought to Best Friends after he was found in a parking lot. His front right leg was torn to such an extent it was clear he had been hit by a car. The extensive nerve damage necessitated the removal of his leg, but he pulled through courageously. He was adopted to a loving home, and he can run just as fast as his four-legged sis, Sugar, also adopted from Best Friends!
