Dr. Sindy Habib is a 1989 graduate of the University of Minnesota, School of Veterinary Medicine. She completed her internship in medicine and surgery at California Animal Hospital, and then began working in the Los Angeles area. Dr. Habib, or “Sindy” as she prefers her clients to call her, has been practicing in the San Fernando Valley for 14 years.

As a young girl in New York, Sindy always knew that she wanted to be a veterinarian. She started by working as a veterinary technician and groomer, and knows all the ins and outs of the veterinary industry. Sindy has an extensive and loyal clientele who value her experience and skills, as well as her compassionate table-side manner. As the proud owner of Best Friends Animal Hospital, Dr. Habib regularly attends continuing education meetings in order to bring cutting edge ideas to her patients. In her spare time, Sindy volunteers with pet rescue organizations (such as Hurricane Katrina pets) and helps out at her daughter’s school.

Dr. Allison M. Massenzio, BVSc, MRCVS • Email

Dr. Massenzio grew up in rural Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and spent Summers on her relatives' farms in Ireland, where she began to foster her love for animals. She attended the University of Liverpool, School of Veterinary Medicine in the UK. In 2003, she received her BVSc (Bachelor of Veterinary Science) and MRCVS (Member of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons). After 2 years in North Chatham, NY treating small animals and horses, Dr. Massenzio moved to Los Angeles and joined Dr. Habib and the Best Friends family. She shares her home with her partner, Adam, and Maltipoo, Duncan.

Dr. Tracey L. Blundell, DVM • Email

Dr. Tracey L. Blundell is originally from Labrador City, Newfoundland, Canada and graduated from the Atlantic Veterinary College in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada in 2003. In addition to her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine, she has a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science. She has been working in a small animal practice in East Lyme, CT for the past 4 years.  She has a strong interest in surgery.  Dr. Blundell also thrives to provide the utmost in quality care for your furry friends. She is looking forward to a fulfilling career and life in California with her dog Emma, and two kitties, Trevor and Tyson.

Stephanie Bemann, CVT: Lead Veterinary Technician • Email

Stephanie has worked in the animal field for over 10 years now. Originally from the Chicago area, she majored in Pre-Veterinary Medicine at Arizona State University, after which she obtained her CVT (Certified Veterinary Technician) degree. A great job opportunity was offered to her partner, Kandice, in the Los Angeles area, and they have lived in California for 3 months now! Their family includes 2 dogs - Anna and Roo, 3 cats - Mouse, Sulley, and Zante, and a Senegal parrot named Petie. In their spare time, they love to be outdoors: hiking, going to the beach, taking the dogs to the park, and camping.
